A pragmatically discussion about e-journals must define them even using a summarize definition. What is actually an e-journal? Starting from we working in a changing environment, we have to strongly reflect because nowadays there isn’t a standard definition about e-journals. This definition should consider the status, function and quality of these materials but “if a definition hasn’t drown yet, it happens because e-journals are objects so that difficult and with an ephemeral consistence”. 2001 I periodici elettronici, spesso chiamati nella forma americana electronic journals o e-journals sono oggetti digitali che abitano il ciberspazio. Una discussione anche pragmatica sugli e-journals non puo' prescindere da assunti teorici che coinvolgano il piano delle definizioni, seppur in modo sommario. Cos'e' un periodico elettronico?
