The world of libraries is living a period of great  technological innovations. Although the automation process has a quite long history, the 90’s, with the spread of internet, have been at the center of an acceleration of this phenomenon; but users and librarians must face new management issues. New problems that hide, as usually happens, old problems, faced and solved in different situations, that require a new commitment to find solutions to satisfy users’ requests.
