Competition in the handling of the information: destination or starting point of the formation of users? The most of libraries and information centers have assumed, with more or less difficulties, the challenge of the introduction of the new information technologies. Surely, the professionals of the information are one of the groups that better has adapted more to the use of these new tools. This fast adaptation has also not taken place in all the professional sectors of our surroundings. Although a great number of users enabled with facility in digital surroundings exists, we cannot affirm that most of the society it hasn't the habit and the capacities necessary to integrate themselves quickly to the society of the information. It is indeed for that reason that libraries and other information centers for a long time programs of formation of users have been beginning which try to introduce to their users in this new surroundings. The authors of this document analyze, using their experience in different formation of users projects the present state in which are the different proposals of formation of users and raise new challenges.
