A reflection on the importance of dictionaries and thesauri is worth to be done. This tendency a of rich and geographically diversified production is complementar to a search of universal languages for automated translation, aimed to the pantranslation. Some of the documental products, representative of the problems identified for the new millennium: EURODICAUTOM, La Términologie de l’éducation, Unl, the interlinguistic universal software. Three products centred on communication technologies and applications of computerized linguistic, intended to deal with politcs, education, people understanding. A multilingual thesaurus seems to erode form the inside the building of the thesaurus itself, a research field that involves skills and responsibility of the vocabulary expert, a figure that still do not have a real professional dimension in LIS.
