The workshop (http://www.bibliomime.cnr.it/ws2001) had the aim to present the results of the BiblioMIME project and to invite people joining the test. It has been the occasion to make the point of some aspects related to document delivery in Italy since the project was born to speed up the exchange of heavy documents between libraries. Moreover, a system to reduce costs and document transmission problems has been studied.
