The Spanish university libraries had a notable growth and evolution in the years 1985-1995 (prodigious decade).
In this article are introduced some libraries of Madrid seven public Universities: the University Complutense library, the Madrid Universidad autonoma library and that of UNED (the first Spanish university for e-learning).
This paper also deals with  the LIS teaching in Spain and Madrono, consortium of Madrid seven public universities and UNED for library cooperation.
