Twenty-one obstetricians and gynecologists were surveyed to gather the most useful terminology related to this area of knowledge for the creation of this miniglossary, which will serve as a consulting work for teachers of English, medical students and specialists on this branch of Medicine. This miniglossary is divided into two parts: English-Spanish and Spanish-English. 271 and 191 terms were listed, respectively, and the denominations of forty-two instruments used in this medical field were also included. The present miniglossary constitutes a valuable reference work which can be used for consultation and for teaching English in these disciplines.
