After some experiences obtained in 70's about the attention to leaders, the Special information service of the National Center of Information of Medical Sciences apperears in the decade of the 80's. Its creation persecuted the objective to maintain updated, about the advances experienced by biomedical sciences, at the highest levels of direction of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), leaders of the Council of State, the Central Committee of the Party and other central organisms related to the sphere of the public health, as well as to other civil employees and prioritized investigators of the MINSAP. The present work approaches the different types of implemented services.
