A group of basic elements on occupational haelth useful for information professionals: work enviroment, risk factors, occupational diseases are presented. The prevention and control means, the promotion of healthy life styles, the encouragement of a hygiene culture, safety and halth among workers as well as a surveillance program of health status of professionals to reduce the risks fo his health and also the increase of life quality at work.
