<abstract xmlns="http://eprints.org/ep2/data/2.0">Both technical and vocational schools specialised on bookbinding and document restoration have been and are at present one of the most important means for young people to find jobs in these crafts. These schools are also useful in the recovery and preservation of our bibliographic and documentary heritage. At the end of their training, the student workers reach the level of library aide and some working experience through a contract signed with a promoting agency.</abstract>
