The overall aim of the project was to review LIS domain research over the past five years (1997-2002) and to make a prognosis for research over the next three years (2002-2005). This exercise identified a number of issues of concern to those involved in research in the LIS domain. One of the most interesting recurring themes to emerge was the need to ensure that research is disseminated effectively within and beyond the LIS domain and to provide mechanisms to allow findings to feed into practice.
