The article presents yhe informative behavior of the investigators of the Institute of Mathematics of the UNAM through the application of a questionnaire. Also, some concepts are analyzed: what is the informative behavior, how it appears, the general characteristics of the investigators of the area of hard sciences and some aspects concerning the Institute of Mathematics. Finally, the obtained results, the discussion and the conclusions.
