English abstract
The paradigm shift from print journals to electronic journals has tremendous impact upon the management activities of libraries and posed several challenges. Collection development of electronic journals refers to development of a balanced collection keeping in view the changing information needs of the users. For the collection development of electronic journals, formulation of a standardized collection development policy is necessary. Change is never easy, but careful planning can improve the whole process and can be fruitful for the users.
