English abstract

This paper discusses about National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), India and the role of college librarians in the process of preparing libraries for it. Study focus in Quality Indicator Framework and says that the role of librarian is not only confined to the key indicator 4.2 (library as a learning resource) but also play an important role in other criterions.
