English abstract

This presentation introduces a proposed application of content curation methodology to scientific publishing within the current context of artificial intelligence disruption. The 4S’s method of content curation (Search, Select, Sense-making, Share) developed by Guallar and Leiva-Aguilera (2013) is adapted from professional to scientific content. It argues for the utility of the conceptual and practical framework of content curation to address the risks researchers face regarding AI, such as epistemic laziness and the loss of intellectual autonomy. Finally, practical proposals for scientific curation are presented, including the critical filtering funnel and academic sense-making techniques, while consistently emphasizing the central and directing role of the researcher-curator

Se presenta una propuesta de aplicación de la metodología de la curación de contenidos a las publicaciones científicas en el contexto actual de irrupción de la inteligencia artificial. Se adapta el método de las 4s de la content curation (Search, Select, Sense making, Share) de Guallar y Leiva-Aguilera (2013) de los contenidos profesionales a los científicos. Se defiende la utilidad del marco conceptual y práctico de la curación de contenidos para afrontar los riesgos que afronta el investigador ante la IA, como la pereza epistémica y la pérdida de autonomía intelectual. Se hacen propuestas prácticas de curación científica como el embudo de filtrado crítico o las técnicas de sense making académico, destacando en todo momento el rol central y director del investigador-curador.
