Abstract(s)
For the academic libraries the maintenance of satisfactory collection of journals constitutes one from their more important duties. The plenitude and the sufficiency of library's journals' collection determine considerably the degree of users' satisfaction from the services that the library offers. Becomes obvious the need of configuration coordinated, in national level, policy for the maintenance and the growth of journals' collections. Using conspectus the academic libraries can focus the resources that they suitably allocate in a distributed but also coordinated effort, ensuring with this way the availability of all existing journals' titles in the researchers of our country.
Για τις ακαδημαϊκές βιβλιοθήκες η διατήρηση μιας ικανοποιητικής συλλογής περιοδικών αποτελεί ένα από τα σπουδαιότερα καθήκοντά τους. Η πληρότητα και η επάρκεια της συλλογής των περιοδικών μιας βιβλιοθήκης προσδιορίζει σημαντικά το βαθμό ικανοποίησης των χρηστών από τις υπηρεσίες που η βιβλιοθήκη προσφέρει. Γίνεται φανερή η ανάγκη διαμόρφωσης μιας συντονισμένης, σε εθνικό επίπεδο, πολιτικής για τη διατήρηση και την ανάπτυξη των συλλογών με περιοδικά. Χρησιμοποιώντας το conspectus οι ακαδημαϊκές βιβλιοθήκες μπορούν να επικεντρώσουν τους πόρους που διαθέτουν σε μια κατάλληλα κατανεμημένη αλλά και συντονισμένη προσπάθεια, εξασφαλίζοντας με τον τρόπο αυτό τη διαθεσιμότητα όλων των υπαρχόντων τίτλων περιοδικών στους ερευνητές της χώρας μας.
