English abstract

This article emphasizes in Technologies and information services, implemented by libraries in order to facilitate Information search, access and relevant information retrieval for users, for which has been essential the integration of the documental databases developed in the information centres, through tools as Link-Out, developed al National Library of Medicine (NLM).

Spanish abstract

Este artículo hace énfasis en las tecnologías y servicios de información, implementadas por las bibliotecas para facilitar el proceso de búsqueda, acceso y recuperación de información relevante para los usuarios, para lo cual ha sido esencial la integración de las bases documentales desarrolladas en los centros de información, los cuales se han enfocado en ofrecer colecciones electrónicas utilizando diferentes herramientas como Link-Out desarrollada por la Biblioteca Nacional de Medicina (NLM) de los Estados Unidos.
