English abstract

Appreciable work has been carried out in the field of cultural information recording in electronic environment and varied activities has valorisen distinguished in the area inquiring teams. Characteristically are reported the automatic information retrieval, the mechanic learning, the treatment of linguistic elements and recently, the investigation of semantic web's possibilities. More major question however constitutes the electronic exploitation of cultural information in the level of knowledge management that this includes. The extensions of this subject are many, so that is not advisable the choice of individual solutions. It is necessary to indicate ways of intercommunication and effective collaboration between the various cultural organisms toward the new challenges. As the knowledge management constitutes internationally relatively new field of research, is often realised the absence of corresponding application's models. A approach that appears to satisfy in the area of culture is the one that is supported in the exploitation of collective memory parallel to the offered internet sources. As indicative example to study is offered the digital collection “Working Women” of the Program of Open Access of Library of Harvard University. Objective target of this presentation is the creation of prosperous climate of reflection and dialogue on the two fields, semantic web and knowledge management in the area of culture, but also the investigation of possibilities for proportional applications. This research constitutes part of post-doctoral study writing in the University of Macedonia, on the subject about the growth of formal ontologies of archival knowledge and application in acquisitions of the Historical Archives of Macedonia, in the National Greek Archives Collection. This article was written in collaboration with the scientific team of the Program of Open Access in Collections of library of Harvard.

Αξιόλογο έργο έχει επιτελεστεί στο χώρο της καταγραφής της πολιτισμικής πληροφορίας σε ηλεκτρονικό περιβάλλον και ποικίλες δραστηριότητες έχουν καταξιώσει διακεκριμένες στο χώρο ερευνητικές ομάδες. Χαρακτηριστικά αναφέρονται η αυτόματη ανάκτηση πληροφορίας, η μηχανική εκμάθηση, η επεξεργασία γλωσσικών στοιχείων και, πρόσφατα, η διερεύνηση των δυνατοτήτων του σημασιολογικού ιστού. Μείζον ζήτημα ωστόσο αποτελεί η ηλεκτρονική αξιοποίηση της πολιτισμικής πληροφορίας στο επίπεδο της διαχείρισης της γνώσης που αυτή εμπεριέχει. Οι προεκτάσεις του θέματος είναι τόσες πολλές, ώστε να μην ενδείκνυται η επιλογή των μεμονωμένων λύσεων. Είναι αναγκαίο να υποδειχθούν τρόποι ενδοεπικοινωνίας και αποτελεσματικής συνεργασίας μεταξύ των διάφορων πολιτιστικών οργανισμών απέναντι στις νέες προκλήσεις. Καθώς η διαχείριση γνώσης αποτελεί διεθνώς σχετικά νέο πεδίο έρευνας, συχνά διαπιστώνεται η απουσία αντίστοιχων μοντέλων προς εφαρμογή. Μια προσέγγιση που φαίνεται να ικανοποιεί βασικά ζητούμενα στο χώρο του πολιτισμού είναι εκείνη που στηρίζεται στην αξιοποίηση της συλλογικής μνήμης παράλληλα με τις προσφερόμενες πηγές του διαδικτύου. Ως ενδεικτικό παράδειγμα προς μελέτη προσφέρεται η ψηφιακή συλλογή «Εργαζόμενες Γυναίκες» του Προγράμματος Ανοικτής Πρόσβασης της Βιβλιοθήκης του Πανεπιστημίου Harvard. Αντικειμενικός στόχος της παρουσίασης είναι η δημιουργία ευδόκιμου κλίματος προβληματισμού και διαλόγου για τα δύο πεδία, του σημασιολογικού ιστού και της διαχείρισης γνώσης στο χώρο του πολιτισμού, αλλά και η διερεύνηση δυνατοτήτων για ανάλογες εφαρμογές. Η έρευνα αποτελεί μέρος της μεταδιδακτορικής μελέτης της γράφουσας στο Πανεπιστήμιο Μακεδονίας, με θέμα την ανάπτυξη τυπικών οντολογιών αρχειακής γνώσης και εφαρμογή στις προσκτήσεις του Ιστορικού Αρχείου Μακεδονίας, των Γενικών Αρχείων του Κράτους. Το άρθρο γράφτηκε σε συνεργασία με την ερευνητική ομάδα του Προγράμματος Ανοικτής Πρόσβασης σε Συλλογές της βιβλιοθήκης του Harvard.
