English abstract

Is presented the continuously altered environment of information in the frame of which is practised the profession of librarian. Are examined the changes in the higher education and the tendencies and practices in the content of study of information's professionals. The changes in the model of modern libraries are studied and they are investigated as for the requirements that appear in the theoretical and practical education of professionals. In this frame, is expressed the modern reflection in the international bibliography, opinions of students that hardly graduated also library scientists in subjects that concern the education and are reported individual objectives for the configuration of flexible programs of study, which will support the requirements of multicultural society and will provide the professional dexterities that are required in the environment of society of information. Becomes, finally, concise presentation of energies of Department of Librarianship and Information Systems of Polytechnic School of Athens in order to corresponds in the continuously increasing requirement for rapid and effective adaptations.

Παρουσιάζεται το συνεχώς μεταβαλλόμενο περιβάλλον της πληροφόρησης στο πλαίσιο του οποίου ασκείται το επάγγελμα του βιβλιοθηκονόμου. Εξετάζονται οι αλλαγές στην τριτοβάθμια εκπαίδευση και οι τάσεις και πρακτικές στο περιεχόμενο σπουδών των επαγγελματιών πληροφόρησης. Οι αλλαγές στο μοντέλο των σύγχρονων βιβλιοθηκών μελετώνται και διερευνώνται ως προς τις απαιτήσεις που προβάλλουν στη θεωρητική και πρακτική εκπαίδευση των επαγγελματιών. Σε αυτό το πλαίσιο, εκφράζεται ο σύγχρονος προβληματισμός στη διεθνή βιβλιογραφία, απόψεις σπουδαστών που μόλις αποφοίτησαν και βιβλιοθηκονόμων σε θέματα που αφορούν την εκπαίδευση και αναφέρονται επιμέρους στόχοι για τη διαμόρφωση ευέλικτων προγραμμάτων σπουδών, τα οποία θα υποστηρίζουν τις απαιτήσεις μιας πολυπολιτισμικής κοινωνίας και θα παρέχουν τις επαγγελματικές δεξιότητες που απαιτούνται στο περιβάλλον της κοινωνίας της πληροφορίας. Γίνεται, τέλος, συνοπτική παρουσίαση των ενεργειών του Τμήματος Βιβλιοθηκονομίας και Συστημάτων Πληροφόρησης του Τ.Ε.Ι. Αθήνας για να ανταποκριθεί στη συνεχώς αυξανόμενη απαίτηση για ταχείες και αποτελεσματικές προσαρμογές.
