English abstract
Recognising how crucial the inclusion of innovative teaching practices in the field of Multimedia is, current experiences developed by the Library School at the Technological Metropolitan University are described. Through the adoption of Constructivist’s principles, which underlying teaching process centred at individual level, all the practices, strategies and methodologies here covered have been implemented using available resources from the WEB. The experience is also important because it is fostering on usable free open source technologies such as Google and Microsoft toolkits.

Se presentan estrategias metodológicas para la enseñanza práctica de la Multimedia, a partir de la experiencia de la carrera de Bibliotecología de la Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana, utilizando recursos de la propia Web. A partir de un enfoque constructivista, se definen estrategias para motivar y despertar la curiosidad intelectual de los alumnos, empoderándolos para que sean autónomos y responsables de su propio aprendizaje. En lo tecnológico, se plantea utilizar aplicaciones sociales, software libre y tecnologías gratuitas provistas por Google y Microsoft, entre otras.
