English abstract

This paper presents a sum of problems in designing institutional repositories, as well as the basic criteria and policies followed for their confrontation. It is referred to the development of Pandemos (http://library.panteion.gr/pandemos). More concretely, is analyzed the reflection of choice of metadata schema in combination with the use of authority files in the digital library. Τhe subject integration of the repository with the main catalogue and some interoperability issues are discussed.

Στην παρούσα εργασία παρουσιάζεται η νέα ψηφιακή βιβλιοθήκη του Παντείου Πανεπιστημίου – ΠΑΝΔΗΜΟΣ (ΠΑΝτειακές ΔΗΜΟΣιεύσεις). Παρουσιάζεται η προτεινόμενη αρχιτεκτονική της βιβλιοθήκης, η υλοποίησή της και τα προβλήματα που παρουσιάστηκαν, καθώς και οι πολιτικές πρόσβασης και διαχείρισης. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, αναλύεται ο προβληματισμός της επιλογής σχήματος μεταδεδομένων σε συνδυασμό με τη χρήση καθιερωμένων όρων στην ψηφιακή βιβλιοθήκη. Επιπλέον, παρουσιάζεται ενσωμάτωση της ψηφιακής βιβλιοθήκης στο σύστημα ενοποιημένης αναζήτησης της Βιβλιοθήκης, η προβληματική που δημιουργήθηκε από τα ζητήματα αντιστοίχησης μεταξύ προτύπων μεταδεδομένων και η τελική απόφαση.
