English abstract

Sketches the nature of space technology and characteristics of the space technologists of ISRQ Satellite Centre (ISAC), presents the information requirements including motives and purposes of seekinq information and degree of dependence on various sources of Information, highlights the implications of the study for future planning, discusses some policy issues needing immediate attention and concludes by stressing the need for long-term planning of information systems for space technologists.
