English abstract

We outline the main features of Openbiblio, a free program for the management of libraries and small documentation centres. We describe the modules available —administration, cataloguing, and loans— and, most importantly, define the details of the configuration of the system needed to use the program. Though not a manual of instructions, this article aims to give a series of general indications for the program's use.

Es descriuen les principals característiques del programa Openbiblio de gestió de biblioteques. Es tracta d'un programari lliure per la gestió de petites biblioteques o centres de documentació. Es descriuen els diferents mòduls (préstec, catalogació, administració) i sobre tot es defineixen els detalls de la configuració del sistema per a un bon ús i funcionament. Amb aquesta ressenya s'intenta donar algunes indicacions a l'ús del programa, sense arribar a ser un manual.
