English abstract

In this work a comparative analysis between the contexts of emergency of the frame of work of metadata and the proposals of formalization of catalográphic guidelines will appear, with the intention of evaluating possible relations and tensions between these frames of work. An analysis of some conceptualizations developed by the different communities of practice in relation to the frames of description of cultural goods will be made, with the purpose of exploring possible models of convergence in the analyzed paradigmatic assumptions.

Spanish abstract

En este trabajo se presentará un análisis comparativo entre los contextos de emergencia del marco de trabajo de metadatos y las propuestas de formalización de pautas catalográficas, con el objeto de evaluar posibles relaciones y tensiones entre estos marcos de trabajo. Se realizará un análisis de algunas conceptualizaciones desarrolladas por las diferentes comunidades de práctica en relación con los marcos de descripción de bienes culturales, con el fin de explorar posibles modelos de convergencia en los supuestos paradigmáticos analizados.
