English abstract

In the new History of the Serbian Bibliography, a special place is occupied by two personalities - Milen M. Nikolić (1901-1995) and Miodrag Živanov (1928-2000). Nikolić was the first expert manager and coordinator of the work on the Serbian Retrospective Bibliography Compiling and the first Chief of the Bibliographic Department of the National Library of Serbia, founded in 1960. Miodrag Živanov, the first and the best student of Nikolić, was managing this Department for 23 years, and he has regulated with expertise and systemized the collected material and he has redacted 20 volumes of Serbian Bibliography. Books 1868-1944. The publication of this Bibliography was a great contribution to the national culture.

U novijoj istoriji srpske bibliografije posebno mesto zauzimaju dve ličnosti - Milen M. Nikolić (1901-1995) i Miodrag Živanov (1928-2000). Gospodin Nikolić je bio prvi stručni rukovodilac i koordinator poslova na izradi Srpske retrospektivne bibliografije i prvi načelnik Bibliografskog odeljenja Narodne biblioteke Srbije, osnovanog 1960. godine. Miodrag Živanov, prvi i najbolji Nikolićev učenik, rukovodio je Odeljenjem 23 godine, stručno je sredio i sistematizovao sakupljenu građu i redigovao 20 tomova Srpske bibliografije. Knjige 1868-1944. Njeno objavljivanje najveći je doprinos nacionalnoj kulturi.
