Abstract(s)
The main purpose of this article is to give an overview of the experience and results related with the application of the Common Assessment Framework (CAF)in the project which took lace in the City Council of Vila do Conde – "Integrated Management of the Information System of the Municipality" applied to the current management of the City council. A practical case developed in the information system/archive of the municipality, based in a theoretical model which assumed the Archivistics as an applied discipline in the scope of Information Science and in the context of the challenges launched by the Society of the Information and the modernization process of the Portuguese Public Administration.
O principal objectivo deste artigo é dar a conhecer, de uma forma sinté ica, o exercício de aplicação da CAF (Common Assessment Framework) no âmbito do projecto desenvolvido na Câmara Municipal de Vila do Conde, o qual, incidindo no sistema de informação/arquivo da autarquia – "Projecto de Gestão Integrada do Sistema de Informação Municipal" aplicado à gestão corrente do Município –, teve como pressuposto científico a assunção da Arquivística como disciplina aplicada da Ciência da Informação, no contexto da Sociedade da Informação e do processo de modernização da Administração Pública em Portugal.
