English abstract

Adobe PDF 1.7 format accessibility is evaluated on the basis of WCAG 1.0 and WCAG 2.0. It's behaviour with JAWS Screen Reader and Adobe Reader is tested. Results indicate that the format is basically conformat with WCAG guidelines, both versions, but presents a bad integration with JAWS.

Se evalúa la accesibilidad del formato Adobe PDF 1.7 en base a las WCAG 1.0 y 2.0 y se comprueba su uso con el sintetizador de voz JAWS[5] y el lector Adobe Reader 6. Los resultados indican que el formato cumple básicamente las directrices WCAG en ambas versiones, en cambio presenta una integración deficiente con JAWS.
