English abstract
The concept of web accessibility is introduced, as a means of making it easier for persons with disabilities to work with the Web and of improving content usability. The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), beginning with its Web Accessibility Initiative, has developed directives that are currently being adopted by different governments and organisations. The article concludes by presenting different IT tools and contact organisations that support related actions.

Es presenta el concepte d'accessibilitat a la web com a sistema per facilitar el treball a la xarxa de les persones amb discapacitats i millorar la usabilitat dels continguts. A partir de la Iniciativa per a l'accessibilitat a la web (WAI) del World-Wide Web Consortium (W3C) aquest ha elaborat unes Directrius que actualment estan en procés d'adopció pels diferents governs i empreses. Finalment es presenten diverses eines informàtiques i entitats de contacte que donen suport a aquestes actuacions.
