English abstract
Analysis of the special library work is based on the data owned by the National Library of Serbia and supervisory libraries in the library network of the Republic of Serbia. The analysis covers the status of the libraries in the 2003 for the areas of central Serbia and Vojvodina without Kosovo and Metohia. The work of the special libraries in the observed period is presented by the usual indicators for the analysis of library work including 1. book holdings, 2. use of the library resources and services and 3. library staff. The measures suggested for the solution of the problems in the libraries are given at the end of the text.

Analiza rada specijalnih biblioteka temelji se na podacima kojima u trenutku njenog nastanka raspolažu Narodna biblioteka Srbije i matične biblioteke u mreži biblioteka Republike Srbije. Analiza obuhvata stanje ovih biblioteka u 2003. g. a za područje centralne Srbije i AP Vojvodina, ali ne i područje AP Kosovo i Metohija. Rad specijalnih biblioteka u posmatranom periodu prikazan je prema uobičajenim parametrima za analizu rada biblioteka koja obuhvata 1. Knjižne fondove, 2. Korišćenje fondova i usluga biblioteke i 3. Kadrove. Predlozi mera za rešavanje problema u analiziranim bibliotekama izneti su na kraju ovog teksta.
