English abstract

In accordance to global trends in library information activities, the academic libraries of the Novi Sad University (NSU) tend to integrate their work in order to meet efficiently and successfully the requirements set by a reformed university. The analysis has followed the readiness of the NSU academic libraries to be included into new trends of library and information profession. The results of the analysis indicate that the library and information infrastructure of the NSU academic libraries is of a good quality, but also that there are great differences among them in staff holdings, hardware and software. This situation can make their integration and development difficult.

Visokoškolske biblioteke Univerziteta u Novom Sadu (u daljem tekstu UNS) nastoje da, u skladu sa globalnim trendovima u bibliotečko-informacionoj delatnosti, integrišu svoju delatnost kako bi uspešno i efikasno odgovorile zahtevima koje im postavlja transformisani univerzitet. Istraživanjem je ispitivana spremnost visokoškolskih biblioteka UNS da se uključe u nove tokove bibliotečko-informacione delatnosti. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da je bibliotečko-informaciona infrastruktura visokoškolskih biblioteka UNS kvalitetna, ali da među njima postoje velike razlike u kadrovima, fondovima, hardveru i softveru, što može otežati njihovu integraciju i razvoj.
