English abstract

The conference contribution „The open e-print archive E-LIS invites Czech authors too“ presents the international e-print archive with open access ELIS (E-Prints in Library and Information Science) covering library and information science field. Current purposes, functions, entry processes of self-archiving, and especially its information outputs and services are characterized. Its 3-years operation, digital collection growth, benefits and problems of participation for authors-scientists are evaluated. At the same time, the presentation is an invitation to participation for authors from the Czech Republic.

Konferenční příspěvek „Otevřený archiv elektronických tisků E-LIS zve také české autory“ představuje mezinárodní archiv elektronických tisků s otevřeným přístupem E-LIS (E-Prints in Library and Information Science), pokrývající obor knihovní a informační vědy. Charakterizovány jsou jeho aktuální cíle, funkce, vstupní procesy auto-archivace a zejména jeho informační výstupy a služby. Vyhodnocen je jeho tříletý provoz, růst digitálního fondu, výhody a problémy účasti pro autory-vědce. Příspěvek je zároveň pozvánkou k účasti pro autory z České republiky.
