English abstract

This lecture aims to provide academic librarians and information professionals with sufficient knowledge on the copyright problems encountered in academic libraries/archives. It gives an overview of the provisions of the Philippine Copyright Law, and the reproduction rights enjoyed by Philippine libraries/archives under the law. It also suggests how libraries/archives can avoid copyright liability, and what they can do to help in the enforcement of the law.
