English abstract

This article gives an overview of how to obtain and process usage data from web search engines.

German abstract

Das Internet bietet mit seinen verschiedenen Serviceleistungen eine breite Plattform für die Erhebung und Auswertung von Nutzerdaten. Durch diese Technologie sind nicht nur mehr Daten vorhanden, sondern auch neue Daten, die früher nicht bekannt waren oder nur schwer erhoben werden konnten. Detaillierte Kaufhistorien in online Shops sind nur ein Beispiel. In diesem Kapitel werden verschiedene Datenerhebungsmethoden aufgelistet und erklärt. Die Anwendung dieser Methoden wird im Anschluss am Beispiel der Erhebung von Daten bei der Nutzung von Suchmaschinen im Internet veranschaulicht.
