English abstract
Web 2.0 is a term that has been used by Tim O’Reilly and Dan Doughtery for the first time in 2004, in a meeting that gave land to a conference series called “Web 2.0 Summit”. Although it has been quiet long time since then, this term is still causing some confusion and not clearly understood. The best way of defining Web 2.0 could be exemplifying it by how tools available in Web 1.0 have been re-generated by Web 2.0. The static web pages of Web 1.0 have gained interactivity between the author and the site visitor. With Web 2.0, anyone can publish in today’s world. As an extension of these new technologies and the new nature of the Web, social networks have been established and in turn, started affecting the society dramatically.
