English abstract
The Organization of Collections : Respect for Traditions and Analysis of Needs The disappearance of the Certificate of Aptitude in librarianship (cafb) has been badly received by the profession. The new recipients of territorial competitive examinations have been chosen on the basis of their general culture. They are not specialists in either the book and other media, or, with the exception of qualified assistants, in documentation techniques. However, the setting up of post-recruitment training has a positive aspect, even if it is the only one : it can re-examine the three technical areas whose reproduction the cafb ensured subject indexation, the use of the Dewey decimal classification system and cataloguing to isbd norms.
