English abstract

With the increasing diffusion and use of the TIC's, the surroundings that face the academic libraries, constitute a great challenge. The understanding of the new user profile -the generation of the calls Millennials-, is vital to be able to translate its information needs to products and services that traditionally offer these libraries. This will imply in some cases a total redesign of the same, in others the search of new means and forms to offer them. In this communication it is tried to explain the complex interrelation of factors that make the urgent understanding of the phenomenon, with the object of responding to the demands of these users with realism and service spirit.
