English abstract

It describes the updated format made to suit IBERMARC cataloging rules, share with MARC databases and address some of the automated system requirements of the National Library of Spain. After justifying the reasons for this update, described the changes in the fixed-length fields and variable. Attached is the format schema update IBERMARC 1987, used by the Spanish National Library, which details the content identifiers codes, their names and repeatability. It contains examples of bibliographic entries for publications and analytical unit proper coded according to the format's 1987 version IBERMARC

Se expone la actualización del formato IBERMARC realizada para adecuarlo a las Reglas de Catalogación, facilitar el intercambio con bases de datos MARC y atender algunos requisitos del sistema automatizado de la Biblioteca Nacional. Tras justificar los motivos de esta actualización, se describen las modificaciones introducidas en los campos de longitud fija y variable. Se adjunta el esquema del formato IBERMARC puesta al día 1987, utilizado por la Biblioteca Nacional Española, en el que se detallan los códigos identificadores de contenido, su denominación y repetitibilidad. Se incluyen ejemplos de asientos bibliográficos correspondientes a publicaciones unitarias y analíticas propiamente dichas codificadas de acuerdo con la versión 1987 del formato IBERMARC
