English abstract

CiteUlike is a free service that currently stores more than three million citations of scientific papers, incorporating more than 5000 new daily. It was created about three years ago by Richard Cameron at the University of Manchester. CiteULike is a system open to anyone who wants to preserve, manage and share Internet references in scientific and technical documents that are retained as its own, but are to be visible to all, through a public and a private profile

CiteUlike es un servicio gratuito que actualmente almacena más de tres millones de citas de artículos científicos, incorporando a diario más de 5000 nuevos. Fue creado hace unos tres años por Richard Cameron en la Universidad de Manchester. CiteULike es un sistema abierto a cualquier persona que desea conservar, gestionar y compartir en internet referencias de documentos científicos y técnicos, que se conservan como propias, pero que son estar visibles para todos, mediante un perfil público y uno privado
