English abstract

During the II Edocpa Conference (Electronic Documents in the Principality of Asturias), Oviedo, Spain, 11-13 June 2008, there was a workshop presentation of the DocuMenea news promotion system. This is a website where anyone can post pieces of news on Library, Information science, Journalism and Information technology, or comment on existing ones. Besides, the news can be voted (or "wiggled") like in Digg or Menéame. The more voted piece of news the more visible becomes. It is a typical product of the social web, collaborative, participative web, or web 2.0.

Durante las II Jornadas Edocpa (Documentos Electrónicos en el Principado de Asturias), Oviedo, 12 de junio de 2008, tuvo lugar un taller de presentación del sistema de promoción de noticias DocuMenea. Se trata de una web en la que cualquier persona puede publicar noticias de Biblioteconomía, Documentación, Periodismo y Tecnologías de la Información, o hacer comentarios sobre las existentes. Además las noticias pueden votarse (“menearse”) al estilo de Digg o Menéame. Cuanto más votadas las noticias más visibilidad tienen. Es un típico producto de la web social, web colaborativa o participativa, o web 2.0.
