English abstract

The author, having outlined the major historical events and possessions from the archive of the seminary in Treviso, describes the archive of Monsignor Angelo Marchesan, teacher in the seminary but also literary man, historian, poet, publicist and lecturer. He traces the steps of the reorganization and provides a brief description of the content, from which emerge clearly the activity of study and research performed by Marchesan around the figure of Saint Pio X, and his deep interest for the history and the literature not only of the city of Treviso, but also of Padua and Friuli Venezia Giulia

L'autore, dopo aver illustrato le principali vicende storiche ed il posseduto dell'archivio del Seminario vescovile di Treviso, descrive l'archivio di mons. Angelo Marchesan, insegnante in Seminario ma anche letterato, storico, poeta, articolista e conferenziere. Ne ripercorre le fasi del riordino e fornisce una sintetica descrizione del contenuto, dalla quale emergono con chiarezza l'attività di studio e di ricerca svolta dal Marchesan intorno alla figura di San Pio X, ed il suo profondo interesse per la storia e la letteratura non solo trevigiane, ma anche di padovane e friulane.
