English abstract
It presents a brief introduction with a general theoretical framework descriptive of the distribution lists, their reality in Argentina, the use of them in the field of health sciences and their use for biomedical information with BIBLIOMED (medical libraries): 1999-2004.The study shows the list to be used mainly for professional communication and information exchange.

Se definen conceptos generales sobre las lista de distribución, se establecen características de la lista sobre información biomédica BIBLIOMED y se establece un estudio comparativo de emisión de mensajes durante 1999-2004.
