English abstract

Undergraduate programs in psychology in Argentina are characterized by a predominance of a psychoanalitic approach in most courses along the whole programs, which lasts at least five years. There is only one university in Argentina in which students have to choose between a psychoanalytic or a cognitive education and training for the last two years of this program, involving different advanced courses. In this paper we present findings based on a study of contents and bibliographical references included in the syllabus of each of the specific advanced courses of psychoanalytic and congnitive approach. The analyses are based on both qualitative and quantitative methods.

Los programas de la Licenciatura en Psicología en Argentina se caracterizan por una predominancia del enfoque psicoanalítico en la mayoría de los cursos a través del programa, que tiene una duración de cinco años. Hay sólo una universidad en Argentina en la cual los estudiantes tienen que elegir entre una educación y entrenamiento psicoanalítico o cognitivo, durante los dos últimos años del programa, incluyendo cursos avanzados. El presente trabajo presenta los hallazgos basados en un estudio de contenido y de las referencias bibliográficas incuídas en el syllabus de cada uno de los cursos específicos avanzados que contemplen los enfoques psicoanalítico o cognitivo. El análisis está basado tanto en métodos cualitativos cuanto cuantitativos.
