English abstract

Development of digital library services is a common during last decade. Development of new web 2.0 functionalities and the rise of the social has changed the way users interact with information access and management processes. So, the future of digital libraries depends on the development of user centered information products, attending the real user needs, and implementing this services with collaborative technologies, in order to create specialized communities.

El desarrollo de servicios de bibliotecas digitales ha sido un denominador común durante la última década. Sin embargo, la evolución de las prestaciones y funcionalidades del web 2.0 y el auge del web social ha traído como consecuencia la participación activa de los usuarios en procesos de acceso y tratamiento de información en el entorno digital. En consecuencia, el futuro de las bibliotecas digitales pasa por la creación de productos de información, centrados en las necesidades reales de los usuarios, y en la implementación de éstos mediante tecnologías participativas del web 2.0, con la finalidad de crear comunidades de usuarios especializadas.
