English abstract

In the past years electronic books were booming at scientific libraries. E-books have established especially at medical libraries as an important part of the document supply in particular for students. The current interview with Klaus Bahmann (Springer), Peter Gemmel (Thieme) and Angelika Lex (Elsevier) informs about development, situation and outlook of e-books of three big scientific publishers. They spoke about the focal points in the supply and the diverse business models and the different estimation for the future development of electronic books.

In den letzten Jahren haben elektronische Bücher an wissenschaftlichen Bibliotheken einen großen Aufschwung erfahren. Insbesondere an Medizinbibliotheken konnten elektronische Bücher als wichtiger Bestandteil der Literaturversorgung vor allem für die Studierenden etabliert werden. Das aktuelle Interview mit Klaus Bahmann (Springer), Peter Gemmel (Thieme) und Angelika Lex (Elsevier) informiert über Entwicklung, Status und Perspektiven von elektronischen Büchern aus der Sicht von drei großen wissenschaftlichen Verlagen. Angesprochen werden die Schwerpunktsetzungen in den Angeboten, die verschiedenen Geschäftsmodelle sowie die unterschiedliche Einschätzung der weiteren Entwicklung von elektronischen Büchern.
