English abstract

Adapting software designed to teach methods of information access for use in a new cultural context raises a number of issues. CALIS (Computer-Assisted Learning for Information Searching), designed in (and for) Swiss universities, had to be modified in a number of ways to make it suitable for use in French-speaking Africa. The new programme, christened CALIS Sud, had to take into account what the authors call "principles of reality"; it is thus based solely on open access resources.

Adapter un didacticiel d'apprentissage à la recherche et à l'utilisation de l'information scientifique à un nouveau contexte ne va pas sans poser de nombreuses interrogations. En effet, CALIS (Computer-Assisted Learning for Information Searching), conçu dans le milieu universitaire suisse, a dû subir plusieurs ajustements pour convenir à l'Afrique francophone. Nouvelle déclinaison du didacticiel, CALIS Sud est basé uniquement sur des ressources libres d'accès, dont il a fallu respecter la nature pour tenir compte de ce que nous avons appelé un « principe de réalité ».
