English abstract

Using two theories original from the philosophy of language and from the cognitive psychology (the theory of the direct reference and the theory of the ad hoc categories, respectively), the two key principles on which the creation of ontologies leans for the information retrieval are examined critically: the definition of the concepts of a domain of knowledge and the formalization of the relationships between these. The work shows the inherent theoretical problems to these principles.

Utilizando dos teorías provenientes de la filosofía del lenguaje y de la psicología cognitiva (la teoría de la referencia directa y la teoría de las categorías ad hoc, respectivamente), se examinan críticamente los dos principios clave sobre los cuales se apoya la creación de ontologías para la recupera ción de la información: la definición de los conceptos de un dominio de conocimiento y la formalización de las relaciones entre éstos. El trabajo pone de manifiesto los problemas teóricos inherentes a estos principios
