English abstract

Nursing research has rapidly grown in the last 10 years in Italy, however no citational effect of the amount of nursing scientific production has been developed untill now. Understanding this could be useful to address further research and the scientific development of nursing research in Italy. This paper highlights the main characteristics of Italian research and analyzes the citational impact of papers published untill december 2009.

La ricerca infermieristica in Italia si è sviluppata notevolmente negli ultimi dieci anni, anche a fronte del consolidarsi della formazione universitaria dell'infermiere e il progressivo crearsi di un corpo accademico. Tuttavia al momento non sono disponibili valutazioni dell'impatto citazionale della produzione scientifica infermieristica e delle caratteristiche della ricerca finora prodotta. La comprensione di questi aspetti potrebbe aiutare ad indirizzare la ricerca futura e contribuire a tracciare linee di futuro sviluppo della ricerca infermieristica italiana. Questo articolo mette in luce le principali caratteristiche degli articoli pubblicati e ne analizza l'impatto citazionale nella comunità scientifica a dieci anni dall'ingresso della formazione infermieristica in Università (1999-2009).
