English abstract

The present work investigates if the music in the advertising promoted by the Institute of the Woman - public entity of Spanish area with more than 20 years of history - expires with different own functions: to thrill and to serve as support to the images and to the message; if the subject matter of the advertisement determines the typology of the music; and if the above mentioned announcements are remembered by the soundtrack. The study offers a global vision of the composers' intentions, creative and of the own Institute of the Woman, in his institutional speech across the advertising music.

El presente trabajo investiga si la música en la publicidad promovida por el Instituto de la Mujer –entidad pública de ámbito español con más de 20 años de historia– cumple con distintas funciones propias: emocionar y servir como apoyo a las imágenes y al mensaje; si la temática del anuncio condiciona la tipología de la música; y si dichos anuncios se recuerdan por su banda sonora. Se establece una relación con el uso expresivo de la música. Los cambios de ritmo, la metáfora sonora, el contraste de imagen por complejidad o simplicidad son algunas de las expresiones de la música publicitaria analizada. Se ofrece una visión global de las intenciones de compositores, creativos y del propio Instituto de la Mujer, en su discurso institucional a través de la música publicitaria.
