English abstract

A vision of the management of web contents and the role of the digital information manager. The paper includes an analysis of what a web content manager (WCM) is and what types of manager exist, from company solutions to free software or customised solutions. It also discusses the integration of these managers with the rest of the information systems. Lastly, it contains a discussion of the role of the digital information manager (profile, knowledge, functions, etc.).

La ponencia analiza qué es un Gestor de contenidos web (WCM) y qué tipos de gestores hay, desde soluciones empresariales, de software libre o soluciones a medida. También trata la integración de estos gestores con el resto de sistemas de información, así como el rol del gestor de información digital, su perfil, conocimientos, funciones, etc.
