English abstract

Introduction: The legal gap and rules that exists in subjects of Libraries of Sanitary Institutions and that affects so much to the installations , services and organs of representation, as to the functions that have to develop the professional responsible librarian, manifest no only in the state field, but also between the different autonomous communities. Aim: To know the evolution and situation of the hospital libraries of the Comunitat Valenciana, personnel and new technologies use. Comparison between 2007 and 2010. Methodology: The C17 portal was used http://www.c17.net filtering the data of the Comunitat Valenciana hospital libraries. Subsequently has realized a questionnaire, to know the situation of each one. Results: In these 3 years there has been an increase of new libraries, because new hospitals have been created and also of new jobs. Also have created in the services of libraries of hospital pages that connect his services between if, no only thanks to them link of hypertexts but also by means of dynamic interaction thanks to RSS and to API (blogs, Twitter, etc.). Conclusions: There has been an improvement, but is not very important, since they have created new hospitals and have not taken into account the Service of Library. In spite of the current use of Web 2.0 applications, the use in the libraries of hospital follows being insufficient and in his acceptance follows predominating the scepticism so much of the professional and of the management teams of the sanitary centres

Spanish abstract

Introducción: El vacío legal y normativa que existe en materias de Bibliotecas de Instituciones Sanitarias y que afecta tanto a las instalaciones, servicios y órganos de representación, como a las funciones que deben desarrollar el profesional bibliotecario responsable, se manifiesta no solo en el ámbito estatal, sino también entre las diferentes comunidades autónomas. Objetivo: Conocer la evolución y situación de las bibliotecas hospitalarias de la Comunitat Valenciana, tanto en el tema de personal como en las nuevas tecnologías, que utilizan. Comparación entre el año 2007 y 2010. Metodología: Se ha utilizado el portal del C17, http://www.c17.net para la obtención de datos de todas las bibliotecas de la Comunitat Valenciana, filtrando por hospitales. Posteriormente se ha realizado un cuestionario, para conocer la situación de cada una de ellas. Resultado: En estos 3 años ha habido un incremento de nuevas bibliotecas, ya que, se han creado nuevos hospitales y también de nuevos puestos de trabajo. También se han creado en los servicios de bibliotecas de hospital páginas que conectan sus servicios entre sí, no solamente gracias a los enlaces de hipertexto sino también mediante interacción dinámica gracias a RSS y a APIs (blogs, Twitter, etc.). Conclusiones: Ha habido una mejora, pero no es muy considerable, ya que se han creado nuevos hospitales y no ha contemplado el Servicio de Biblioteca. Pese a la actual eclosión de las herramientas Web 2.0, el uso en las bibliotecas de hospital sigue siendo insuficiente y en su aceptación sigue predominando el escepticismo tanto de los profesionales como de los equipos directivos de los centros sanitarios.
